Rajasthan Royals

CEO Jake Lush McCrum introduces you to Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals are one of the eight founding franchises of the Indian Premier League (IPL), winners of the inaugural season in 2008, finalists of the 2013 Champions League T20 and finalists of the 2022 IPL.

The Royals are on a mission to ‘Transform Society through Cricket, Transform Cricket through Innovation’ with their pioneering approach and undying spirit of royalty. Born from the commitment to entertain cricket fans and unearth new talent in India and across the globe, they have been at the forefront of nurturing and promoting budding cricketers since its inception. With their roots in Rajasthan, they are impassioned by indomitable qualities of strength, courage and fighting prowess that personify the culture and people of their home state.

It is a team of many firsts, not just on the field but also in the digital realm. From being the first team to lift an IPL trophy to broadcasting a designated YouTube Channel in November 2008 and to launching an electronic tablet in 2013 – the franchise has led by example.

As a business, the Royals generate revenue from IPL’s television and online rights won by Star TV and Viacom18 (2023-27) as well as sponsorship, ticketing and merchandise – underpinned with a very strong and growing fan base on their social media platforms.
